The Green Book Is Where We Got Our Vision
The Negro Motorist Green-Book, published from 1936 to 1966, was a lifeline for African American travelers during the Jim Crow era. It listed hotels, restaurants, gas stations, and other businesses that would serve Black customers safely.
Inspired by Victor Hugo Green's vision of safe travel and economic empowerment, GreenNet continues this legacy for the digital age - connecting people with Black-owned businesses across 195 countries worldwide.
Just as the original Green Book helped travelers find welcoming establishments, GreenNet helps you discover, support, and grow with Black-owned businesses in your community and around the globe.
