A new report from the National Black Chamber of Commerce reveals that Black-owned businesses generated over $200 billion in revenue in 2025, marking a historic milestone for African American entrepreneurship.\n\nThe growth is attributed to increased consumer awareness, improved access to capital through community development financial institutions (CDFIs), and the continued impact of the "Buy Black" movement that gained momentum in recent years.\n\n"We are witnessing a renaissance in Black business ownership," said chamber president Marcus Davis. "From tech startups to restaurants to professional services, Black entrepreneurs are building wealth and creating jobs in communities across the nation."\n\nThe report highlights that the number of Black-owned businesses has grown by 30% since 2020, with significant growth in the technology, healthcare, and professional services sectors.
